Job Title: Deputy Surgical Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Surgical Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital Preston. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to the ward nursing team.
  • Have a degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall.

Priory Hospital Preston is a 38-bedded independent mental health hospital that provides a range of services for patients experiencing an acute mental health crisis. We work in partnership with the NHS to provide the best quality outcomes for all patients.

Our hospital has an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care, and we are committed to delivering an extensive range of services that meet the needs of our patients. Our team of experienced clinicians and therapists work together to provide a comprehensive treatment program that includes therapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, and activity coordination.

Requirements:
  • First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
  • Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable
  • Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.
  • Experience in Acute Mental Health
  • At Least 3 years, or equivalent post registration experience.
  • Mentorship desirable however training could be provided
