We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Risk Leader to join our team at Octopus Energy Group. As a key member of our Energy Markets team, you will be responsible for leading our market risk management efforts and ensuring that our trading approaches are aligned with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Market Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough market risk analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate or capitalize on them.
- Risk Policy Development: Collaborate with our supply entities and trading teams to develop and implement effective market risk policies and procedures.
- Risk Management Tools: Design and implement risk management tools and systems to monitor and manage market risk exposure.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate market risk information and insights to senior stakeholders, including the Octopus Energy Group board.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of risk analysts and traders to ensure effective market risk management.
- Strong Numerical Ability: Possess strong numerical skills and a deep understanding of market risk concepts.
- Energy Market Experience: Have experience working in the energy market, preferably in a risk management or trading role.
