Job Title: SQL Server Performance Optimization Specialist

About the Role:

Linnk Group is seeking an experienced SQL Server Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for optimizing SQL Server databases to ensure they meet high-performance requirements within a large, complex, and fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server databases, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and analyzing execution plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues in a high-transaction environment.
  • Implement and refine best practices in database administration and optimization.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to design and implement database solutions that support performance goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of database systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Performance Tuning within large corporate environments, ideally in finance or banking.
  • Extensive experience in query optimization, indexing, and use of tools like Profiler, DMVs, and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Proficient with analyzing and interpreting execution plans and using performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience working in a high-transaction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, data storage, and retrieval methods.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based SQL environments (e.g., Azure SQL).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and automation for database deployments.
