Job Title: IT Security Operations Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Operations Engineer to join our team at GBA5 EntServ UK Limited. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of network infrastructure and assisting in the support of security systems to ensure they meet service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and administration of network infrastructure, including Cisco switches and routers, HP Aruba switches, and Cisco Wireless Controller and Access Points.
- Assist in the support of security systems to ensure they meet service level agreements.
- Liaise with a remote Cyber Security team and work to instruction.
- May be required to go on 24x7 "On-call" support rotation.
- Have a valid UK driving license.
- Must be SC Cleared or eligible and prepared to attain SC Clearance.
Required Competencies:
- A good understanding and experience of network infrastructure, including Cisco switches and routers, HP Aruba switches, Cisco Wireless Controller and Access Points.
- A good understanding and experience of Firewall technologies.
- A good understanding and experience of working with VPN technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS.
- Work with SOC engineers to assist with Security remediation tasks and changes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of help desk system and managing service requests / incidents / problems.
- Respond to users with set service level agreements (SLA's).
- Provide 3rd line technical support and assist 1st/2nd line support resolution.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet agreed build standards.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and provide guidance to the Customer.
- Ability to write technical documentation for all aspects of the technical infrastructure.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Network support experience, including Cisco and HP.
- Firewall maintenance and administration experience.
- An understanding of VPN IPSEC & SSL.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to work as part of an onsite team and also work with a remote team.
- Good project management skills.
- Network monitoring tools and performance monitoring (Nagios, Cacti, NeDi).
- ITIL certification.
