About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering 1:1, paired and small group support to students with challenging behaviour. The focus will be on maintaining a safe and supportive environment, following risk assessments as appropriate, and acting as a positive role model for students across the school.

About the School

Our school provides specialist provision for learners aged 7-18 who have struggled with formal mainstream education. Students receive a tailored approach to learning, with a focus on individual support and alternative education programmes such as construction, hair and beauty, and mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1, paired and small group support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment, following risk assessments as appropriate
  • Act as a positive role model for students across the school
  • Support students to express themselves and gain better communication skills
  • Deescalate outbursts of disruption with students aged 11 to 16
Requirements
  • Experience of working with students with challenging behaviour
  • Ability to maintain a physically safe environment
  • Positive role model with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on a full-time basis
