About the Role
  • Control the overall quality and validation of Technical Publications, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Built a working relationship with all stakeholders within the validation environment.
  • Ensure industry standards and regulatory documentation align with departmental strategy and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Perform planned quality checks for technical, specification, and editorial conformity.
  • Maintain records and logs of all quality and validation activities conducted.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of Technical Publications.
Requirements
  • Previous aircraft engineering experience, preferably on Merlin and Wildcat helicopters.
  • Previous experience as senior author of aircraft publications.
  • Detailed knowledge of air publication specifications (e.g., ASD Spec 1000D, ASD Spec 2000M, MilSpec1388 LSAR, DADS, DAvP 70/77, ATA02/90, ATA100).
  • Knowledge of technical authoring and production tools (e.g., Framemaker, Eagle Publishing System (EPS), and CAPS2000).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent inter-personal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE-100).
