Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Helicopter Design Assurance Engineer to join our team at Ifairworthy in Yeovil, GB. This role involves ensuring the airworthiness of our helicopters through type certification.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience working within design offices, military, and/or civil environments. They will also possess excellent communication and project management skills.

The estimated salary for this position is around £70,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that helicopters meet design and safety requirements of MAA, CAA, and other validating authorities
  • Classify and certify relevant helicopter design changes
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering department and other technical areas for new type certification and changes
  • Propose type certification basis, liaising with MAA and CAA as required
  • Check compliance documents for certification specifications and environmental protection requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working within design office, military, and/or civil environments
  • Previous experience in Type Certification process from military and/or civil perspective
  • Degree in Engineering or related field or experience in lieu of qualifications
  • Ability to follow well-defined engineering processes
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team environments
  • Ability to make technical decisions
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office
