Helicopter Airworthiness Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Airworthiness Engineer to join our team at Ifairworthy in Yeovil, UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation regulatory compliance and type certification. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on new helicopter projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the airworthiness of new helicopters, ensuring they meet the required safety standards. This involves working closely with project engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure effective and timely delivery. As part of this role, you will also be involved in classifying and certifying design changes to improve helicopter performance and configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and integrate inputs from project engineering and other technical areas for new type certification and changes.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities (MAA, CAA) to propose type certification basis.
- Check compliance documents for certification specifications and environmental protection requirements.
- Coordinate tasks and scheduling for type certification changes, repairs, and validation.
Requirements
- Experience in design office, military, and/or civil aviation.
- Previous experience in Type Certification process from military and/or civil perspective.
- Degree in relevant Engineering or Scientific subject or equivalent experience.
Estimated Salary Range: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
