About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our administrative team within the Day Treatment Unit (DTU) at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. This role would suit someone who particularly enjoys a patient-facing role as a key element involves welcoming and dealing with patients visiting the unit to receive their treatment and providing administrative support to the clinicians.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the DTU nurses and service based at the Churchill Hospital.
  • Manage the processes underpinning the service, including management of our databases (EPR, ARIA) and chemotherapy delivery across day services.
  • Be responsible for greeting all new patients, relatives and visitors and direct them to the appropriate member of staff/area.
  • Answer the telephone and direct enquiries as appropriate.
  • Assist with any transport queries as required.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

Requirements

  • Good general level of education (5 GCSEs/BTEC grade C or above or equivalent).
  • Proficient in use of MS Office.
  • Experience working in a team as well as independently.
