Job Title: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Brookthorpe Hall School, part of Options Autism. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils with Autism and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to meet the needs of pupils with Autism and complex needs.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources to enhance pupil engagement and learning outcomes.
- Provide individualized support to pupils, including behavioral interventions and strategies to promote positive behavior.
- Collaborate with the educational team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each pupil.
- Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional and academic growth.
Requirements:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with Autism and complex needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes for pupils.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of pupils and the educational team.
