Job Summary

Higgidy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager to join our team. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the site meets all legislative and customer standards, including group policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain relationships with customers and external contacts to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide technical expertise to the site management team to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective KPI reporting and management review processes to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Lead and develop the on-site technical team, including training and succession planning to ensure the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to meet business needs.
  • Deliver the internal audit program for the site within prescribed timescales to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain effective risk management processes and root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement and ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in quality/technical management roles in fast-paced, chilled, food manufacturing environments.
  • Technical knowledge and expertise within chilled food, including HACCP and food safety principles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of preparing and hosting BRC audits.
  • Proven skills in developing and leading teams, including coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to deliver a compelling vision for technical quality at all levels, both internally and externally.
