Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability

As a Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability, you'll play a pivotal role in promoting progress and inspiring our clients, employees, investors, and communities to achieve their greatest potential.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new and existing portfolios of business within set guidelines, authority levels, and service standards.
- Mentor and develop Underwriters, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their success.
- Report to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
- Maintain a professional approach in all internal and external stakeholder interactions, ensuring effective, efficient, compliant, and profitable underwriting.
- Collaborate with other business units to maximize underwriting opportunities, minimize expenses, and achieve operations and service targets.
- Develop and execute new business opportunities, interacting with existing and new brokers to drive growth and revenue.
- Work with senior underwriters and management to develop future product offerings and distribution strategies.
- Comply with relevant laws, regulations, industry codes, and Arch organization standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of the legislative framework.
- Demonstrable ability to grow a profitable portfolio.
- Experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
- Tertiary qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with a strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a high level of service delivery to external stakeholders.
