We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Derbyshire Constabulary. This is an exciting opportunity to support the wellbeing and safety of our workforce.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive screening services to all staff, offering advice and guidance on health and wellbeing matters. This includes undertaking police officer recruit medicals, conducting annual medicals for firearms officers, and carrying out risk assessments for officers exposed to bodily fluids.

The Occupational Health and Wellbeing team has been promoting wellbeing initiatives and improving OH provision. We are looking for a dedicated professional to support our incredible workforce as they help others in their greatest hour of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake medical screenings for police officers and discuss pre-employment health questionnaires.
  • Conduct annual medicals for firearms officers to ensure their suitability for duty.
  • Carry out risk assessments for officers who may be exposed to bodily fluids during the course of their duties.

The successful candidate will also be expected to support mental health and wellbeing campaigns within the force. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our staff.
