Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Key Stage 3 and 4 setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students, helping them to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver individualised support plans to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCO to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Liaise with other professionals, including teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff, to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with other LSAs and support staff to provide a comprehensive support network for students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to students and teachers.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties.
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with students, including those with challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing student needs and priorities.
  • TA qualified or equivalent experience.
