Key Responsibilities:- Providing emotional and social support to build meaningful relationships with the children and encouraging their interaction with peers and adults within the community.
- Enhancing self-esteem and respect by helping each young person develop a positive self-image and ensuring they feel respected and valued.
- Promoting positive life choices and independence by supporting the children in making positive decisions and achieving levels of independence appropriate to their age and abilities.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of events, observations, progress, child protection matters, and health and safety checks.
- Collaborating with the manager and other professionals to create, implement, and review individual care plans based on the children's needs.
- Assisting the children with their daily living needs in accordance with their care plans.
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working with children and/or young people in a residential childcare or teaching setting.
- NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Full Enhanced DBS disclosure required for this role.
- Computer literate and able to use software packages relevant to the role.
The salary for this role is £11.44 per hour, with opportunities for career development and progression. We offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, sick and maternity pay, and entertainment benefits.
