About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Senior Plant Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of nuclear safety case requirements to operate the nuclear dock and associated facilities.
  • Enable the successful and safe delivery of work packages on site, ensuring that all necessary controls are in place upon release of nuclear safety significant evolutions.
  • Oversight and management of control of work, site operations, plant maintenance, and routine facility demands.
  • Support projects designing and installing new engineering and infrastructure, essential in supporting future nuclear facilities' capabilities.

Requirements

  • Experience within high-hazardous industries, preferably in the nuclear facility industry, RAD-Waste, hazardous waste, oil and gas, or other hazardous experience.
  • Managing work in high-hazard industries, change management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team or stakeholder management, including direct reports and graduate engineers.
  • Implementing risk assessments or safety cases.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 qualifications (HNC/HND) or other higher-level learning, plus experience.
  • Level 6 STEM degree - Desirable.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
