Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Millbrook. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of security and safety at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect company premises, assets, and personnel from potential threats
  • Provide administrative support as required, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Respond to emergency situations, using relevant equipment and training, including breathing apparatus
  • Welcoming guests and providing a positive experience
  • Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to prevent theft and maintain security
  • Completing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
  • Inspecting and adjusting security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and detect evidence of tampering
  • Conducting searches of personnel and vehicles
  • Providing cover for the main switchboard and radio control during non-standard hours
  • Acting in accordance with the behaviors for UTAC colleagues at all times
Requirements
  • Good standard of education
  • SIA Licence preferred but not mandatory
  • First Aid at Work Certificate preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided
  • Professional Firefighting qualification or experience would be a distinct advantage

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (Millbrook is not easily accessible via public transport)
  • SC clearance or ability to achieve this (UK national with residency in the UK for the last 5 years)
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal Disclosure check
