Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Music to join our vibrant secondary school in Rawtenstall on a full-time basis to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator who can inspire and engage students across all key stages in a supportive and creative environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with the school curriculum.
  • Engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of music, nurturing their talents and fostering a love for the subject.
  • Organise and support musical events, extra-curricular activities, and school performances.
  • Collaborate with the music department and wider staff to enhance the school's vibrant cultural atmosphere.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to raising student achievement and progress.
  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be passionate about Music and committed to enriching students' educational experience.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this role is around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
