About the Job

We are seeking a talented Electrical Project Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Vantara Corporation. As an Electrical Project Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) contracts of new and existing client sites.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will work closely with the local Service Team and our support partners to provide high-level engineering support to our 1st & 2nd line support engineers. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing 1st line support along with maintenance & repair services for the EWIC LTSA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of the Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) contracts of new and existing client sites.
  • Providing engineering and technical support for the HVDC Service team in the UK & Ireland.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance procedures to meet local regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with the Operations manager to ensure the development and competency management of personnel.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Specialist with a strong background in HV power systems. You should have an undergraduate Engineering degree with 3+ years relevant experience in HV power systems. Additionally, you should have experience in delivering technical reports and fault analysis, as well as creating, reviewing and approving high-level policy and procedural documents.

You will also need to have an ability to present detailed training and technical talks, as well as being fluent in written and spoken English. A full clean driving license with access to a car is also required.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • An undergraduate Engineering degree with 3+ years relevant experience in HV power systems.
  • Experience in delivering technical reports and fault analysis.
  • Experience creating, reviewing and approving high-level policy and procedural documents.
  • Able to present detailed training and technical talks.
  • Fluent written & spoken English.
  • A full clean driving license with access to a car.
  • At least 3+ years' experience in HV power systems or a heavy industrial environment.
  • NEBOSH, National general certificate in occupational health and safety.
  • Previous electrical / mechanical authorisations.
  • Previous demonstrable experience providing safety from the system and safe systems of work.
  • Maintenance / fault finding experience with UPS systems, Battery Chargers, Air Handling Units, Pumps, PLCs & Generators.
  • Fire detection and protection system awareness / maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance / fault finding experience with SCADA / PLCs and control systems.
  • Offshore qualifications – HUETS and GWOs.
