This role involves providing operational management, leadership, and strategic development for a specialist Pan Lothian psychology service, working with children and young people with moderate/severe intellectual disability who have complex psychological, mental health, or significant behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, manage, and govern psychology teaching, training, consultancy, and supervision activities within the specialist area.
  2. Manage a caseload of highly complex cases within the specialist field, including assessment and treatment.

Please note that this post is based at St Roque within the Astley Ainslie Hospital.

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
