Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to join our Breast Imaging team at Cambridge University Hospitals as a Consultant Mammography Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leading role in breast imaging and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mammography, with significant experience in both screening and symptomatic settings. They will also have specialist clinical expertise in advanced mammography practice and be able to work autonomously, coordinating the work of others.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical skill, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide specialist opinion for breast imaging, including mammography interpretation, performing and interpreting breast ultrasound, performing biopsy and localisation procedures, recommending further action where necessary.
  • Supervise and train staff, providing expert professional advice to other professionals, multidisciplinary groups, patients, and carers.
  • Contribute to the integration of research evidence into practice by delivering enhanced quality in assessment, diagnosis, and management to improve outcomes for patients.

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive salary of £62,215 - £72,293 per annum (pro rata).
