Role Overview

The Peripatetic Support Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality community-based services, including carer support, community mental health, and day service provision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management and experience leading teams in a care setting.

As a key member of our operational team, the Peripatetic Support Manager will provide support and assistance to our front-line community services, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services. The role will also involve working with other divisions, including registered and supported living, as part of a development programme towards a team of multi-skilled practitioners.

The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of customers and the organisation, with a minimum of 70% of working hours spent providing support within services. The role will also require attendance at Head Office as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality community-based services, including carer support, community mental health, and day service provision
  • Provide support and assistance to front-line community services
  • Work with other divisions, including registered and supported living
  • Travel and be flexible to meet the needs of services

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must have a Management NVQ 5 (or the willingness to work towards in an agreed timeframe) in Health and Social Care and previous experience of leading a team in a similar care setting. The successful candidate will also be supported with on-the-job training and the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for the role.
