Project Controls Engineer

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. As a Project Controls Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their goals.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our Manchester office. As a key member of our Project Controls Team, you'll work closely with clients across various sectors, including energy, renewables, defence, rail, and utilities.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver best practice Controls, Planning, Analytics, and Reporting, Risk, Change, Resource, and Performance Management Solutions. You'll work collaboratively with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collate progress data from multiple teams to update project/programme schedule in Primavera P6.
  2. Collate cost data from multiple teams to support budget requests & update cost report.
  3. Prepare monthly reports measuring progress against baseline.
  4. Support the Project Controls Manager on governance & assurance of Project Controls processes.
Requirements
  1. Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment. PCE's should be proactive, self-starters with well-developed communication and analytical skills.
  2. Experience of working in a project or programme management environment, with responsibility for delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes or portfolios.
  3. Experience using controls/general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications.
  4. Reliable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  5. Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
