Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an expert practitioner in cardiac ultrasound to join its cardiac physiology team in the South Sector. The successful candidate will contribute to the clinical leadership of the service, develop and supervise the team, and contribute to the operational management of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital cardiac physiology service.

About the Role

The role includes contributing to the clinical leadership of the service, and development and supervision of the team as well as contributing to the operational management of the QEUH cardiac physiology service as a whole. The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical lead physiologist and other team members to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the service.

About the Team

The cardiac physiology team in the South Sector is a well-established and progressive service that provides a range of services, including echocardiography, device follow-up, and implantable loop recorder services. The team works closely with other specialties, including cardiology and maternity, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold professional registration and accreditation, and will have experience in cardiac ultrasound and leadership. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
