About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a key role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare staff, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical ward pharmacy services, including medication management and optimization
  • Lead Pharmacist for one or more specialties, including Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Burns, Critical Care, Paediatrics, and High Cost Drugs
  • Supervise more junior pharmacy staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Certificate in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience
  • Experience of clinical pharmacy services, including medication management and optimization
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare staff and patients
