About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer to join our team at Together. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading our Platform Engineering team and driving the adoption of modern infrastructure delivery techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Platform Engineers
  • Curate training plans and competency frameworks for the team
  • Own the hybrid on-premise and cloud technology infrastructure
  • Support Platform Engineers to deliver technical support for all existing and new technologies within both cloud and on-premise environments
  • Implement, develop, and support the desktop, including laptops & tablets, server, SAN, and software infrastructure estate
  • Monitor and maintain all environments to ensure agreed system availability, performance, and security
  • Provide technical knowledge, expertise, and consultancy on platform engineering work
  • Lifecycle management of technology platforms
  • Analyse incident trend information to drive change to processes, procedures, systems, and services
Requirements
  • Management of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working
  • Experience of working in an enterprise environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure platforms and tooling
  • Excellent understanding of security and lifecycle management
  • Experience in management of a Vmware virtualized environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Backup Systems
  • Strong understanding of Networking concepts
