About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at an independent day nursery in Hackney. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for the overall running of your assigned room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of nursery staff to provide high-quality care and education to children
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that meet the needs of children
- Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support their development
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach
- Ensure the nursery is a safe and healthy environment for children and staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a Room Leader or Nursery Practitioner role
- Comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge and skills
- Strong positive role model with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
