We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mental Health Nurse to lead our Enhanced Care Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating the Enhanced Care team and ensuring that patients receive safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the Enhanced Care team on a daily basis, ensuring that nursing assistants are allocated to patients requiring continuous observations.
- Work collaboratively with ward teams and Mental Health Liaison Team to ensure patients receive effective mental health care.
- Plan, provide, and review enhanced care, directing the Enhanced Care team to deliver therapeutic engagement and interventions to patients with mental health conditions or those experiencing psychological distress.
- Provide clinical supervision to other staff, students, and may undertake research, lead clinical audits in own specialist area.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of service users, promoting dignity and human rights through person-centered care principles.
- Experience in mental health nursing, with a focus on enhanced care.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.
