Job Title: Systems Analyst

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a passion for data, software, and projects to take up a key role in our dynamic business.

You will work within the Business Change & Transformation team, collaborating closely with external technology partners to implement effective solutions that drive business success and deliver our ambitious technology roadmap.

We are seeking a talented individual who can design and oversee technical specifications, work closely with technical staff, and ensure the successful delivery of system configuration changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine system configuration processes such as interest rate updates and product modifications.
  • Develop detailed technical and functional specifications and solution design documents.
  • Closely collaborate with technical staff, including Developers, to ensure the technical viability of proposed solutions.
  • Design and oversee test specifications and conduct thorough testing before implementing system configuration changes.
  • Routine reporting using SSMS and Power BI to inform stakeholders.
  • Create new SQL reports and scripts in our Data Warehouse or from the application server.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Data Dictionary complete with entity relationship diagrams.
  • Design and maintain automated document templates.
  • Configure system rules in accordance with underwriting changes.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues impacting business outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data visualisation tools.
  • Strong computer, software, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems.
  • Working knowledge of various programming languages, including Python (Desirable).
  • Critical thinking ability with strong problem-solving capacity.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer flexible working options, allowing you to work from home multiple days per week; however, there may be an expectation to attend team meetings, training events, etc., at our office in Plymouth city centre.
