NX CAD Engineer Job Description

Cranfield-based automotive company is seeking a skilled NX CAD Engineer to join their team. As an NX CAD Engineer, you will work on the realization of interior/exterior component design and package of all aspects of interior/exterior components of current and future vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. CAD design and modeling of metal and interior/exterior trim components.
  2. Management of created CAD into Teamcenter ensuring all model attributes are completed.
  3. Preparation of engineering release packs.
  4. Work under the direction of lead project engineer on a day-to-day basis.
  5. Take CAD designs from concept to finished model and produce finished drawings for engineering release where applicable.
  6. Support and/or investigate resolution of build issues during pre-production builds and launch phase.
  7. Support cost down activities on current production vehicles.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Educated to HNC or equivalent within an engineering related discipline with automotive experience in component design.
  2. Experienced NX user, including complex surfacing.
  3. Experience using Teamcenter.
  4. Knowledge of metal and interior/exterior trim components.
  5. A working knowledge of component manufacturing and tooling requirements.
  6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  7. Highly motivated, results-oriented individual who works well under pressure and can work to a given deadline.
  8. Ability to work well within a team environment is essential.
Hours & Pay:
  1. Monday to Friday
  2. 39 hours per week
  3. £27.00 p/h
