The role of Education Support Specialist is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people within our Primary school. This position will contribute to a high-quality programme of education, supporting vulnerable students who present challenging behaviours. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and support to our pupils, ensuring they are effectively motivated and challenged.

Resilience and a proactive attitude towards learning behaviour management techniques are essential for this role. You will work closely with our team to implement strategies and utilise de-escalation techniques to diffuse behavioural issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Engage in interventions to foster effective participation of students in social, behaviour, and academic processes.
  • Work with the team to implement behaviour management strategies and develop relationships with students who may be vulnerable or have complex needs.
  • Liaise with other agencies to ensure student needs are fully met.
  • Support the teacher in delivering engaging and successful lessons.
