A dynamic and motivated Senior Midwife is required to join the Women's Health Maternity ward at Whittington Health Trust.

About Whittington Health

We are one of the safest hospitals in England, providing expert care for over 500,000 local people.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Midwifery Team Leader (MTL) to provide total midwifery care for both high and low risk mothers.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,884 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience as a Registered Midwife and hold mentorship and assessing qualifications or equivalent.

The successful candidate will work autonomously in the acute and primary care setting, prioritizing workload and dealing with challenging behavior and circumstances.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical skills including suturing, cannulation, maternal and neonatal resuscitation; PPH, shoulder dystocia, eclamptic fits.

They will also have examination of newborns and competent interpreting CTG and intermittent monitoring skills.
