We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Liaison Nurse to join our dynamic team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Liaison team, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding care and treatment to individuals experiencing mental health problems while in an acute hospital setting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide clear and effective mental health pathways for patients aged 17 years and above who attend the Emergency Department or are admitted to the general inpatient wards.
- Respond rapidly to patients referred from the Emergency Department and linked wards, providing urgent mental health support and guidance.
- Ensure the delivery of specialist mental health liaison expertise while working collaboratively with acute hospital colleagues and teams across the site.
- Provide excellent clinical outcomes, patient-centered care, and expert risk management while improving patient experience and involvement.
- Deliver mental health education, teaching, and development for acute hospital staff, including medical and nursing teams.
