Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of a small service providing dedicated psychological support for individuals affected by the abuse that occurred in Islington's children's homes and associated institutions between 1960 and 1995.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality psychological assessment and specialist trauma-focused psychological therapy for survivors presenting with complex PTSD or other mental health impacts of their trauma.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals affected by trauma.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, service users, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society, or British Psychological Society Statement of Equivalence. OR: Post-graduate level training in psychotherapy with evidence of training and expertise in using trauma-focused CBT or EMDR for PTSD and experience in a specialist trauma service.
  • Capacity to reflect on the impact of work, need for self-care and to manage boundaries.
