Cardiology Training Programme Leader

">We are seeking an experienced NHS Consultant to lead the Cardiology training programme in South London. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of training across the region and strong leadership and communication skills.
The role involves overseeing the specialty's regional training programme, managing recruitment to training posts and programmes, and ensuring that national standards and guidelines established within Cardiology are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversight of the Regional Training Programme
- Specialty-specific matters and trainee/trainer concerns
- Recruitment to training posts and programmes
- Postgraduate programme management, including assessments, progression, rotations, support and remediation, OOP management, trainee management careers support, less than full-time training, inter-deanery transfer, academic training and other related work-streams.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team, have strong interpersonal, communication, written and presentation skills, and be able to rapidly establish personal and professional credibility with key stakeholders.
Estimated salary: £98,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary paid in line with TPD sessional payments.
