Principal Scientist - Computational Science, Non-Clinical Safety

GSK's R&D Non-Clinical Safety organisation is seeking a highly skilled Principal Scientist to contribute to the development of cutting-edge computational science approaches for non-clinical safety assessments.

The successful candidate will design and develop analysis approaches for high-throughput, multidimensional data, with a focus on supporting flow cytometry and in vitro cell imaging studies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing state-of-the-art data mining methodologies and machine learning algorithms to aid interpretation of cellular and molecular assays.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain high-quality data and reports.
  • Contributing to experimental design based on study objectives and providing custom data visualisations/analytics.
  • Translating informatics solutions into business-oriented biomedical understanding to support decision-making in drug discovery and development processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant computational or biological discipline, with experience in analysing multidimensional data sets, including flow cytometry and cellular imaging studies.

Strong expertise in scientific computing and programming, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills, are essential for success in this role.
