Respiratory Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Consultant to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our respiratory department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat inpatients with respiratory conditions, referring to other clinicians or general practitioners as necessary.
  • Provide junior doctor support and guidance, ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care.
  • Contribute to teaching, examination, and accreditation duties, as well as participating in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education activities.
  • Provide cover for consultant colleagues during periods of leave, in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Participate in clinical audit and continuing medical education, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Undertake ward rounds and provide evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary setting.
Requirements:
  • Valid GMC registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum 3-6 months paid experience in the NHS or UK.
  • MRCP and Specialist Register status.
  • Section 12 certification.
