Job Title: Respiratory Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Consultant to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our respiratory department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat inpatients with respiratory conditions, referring to other clinicians or general practitioners as necessary.
  • Provide junior doctor support to consultant colleagues and take on administrative duties associated with patient care.
  • Contribute to teaching, examination, and accreditation duties, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate medical education activities.
  • Provide cover for consultant colleagues' periods of leave, in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Participate in clinical audit and continuing medical education.
  • Conduct suitable duties in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Undertake ward rounds as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Valid GMC registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of 3-6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK.
  • MRCP and Specialist Register status.
