Project Overview

Caring Scotland is a pioneering oral history project created by the National Theatre of Scotland (NTS) that seeks to raise the profile, celebrate the achievements, and foster empowerment of the care experienced community in Scotland.

The project aims to collect at least 100 stories from members of the care experienced community, which will be preserved and made accessible through the National Library of Scotland Sound Collection. The stories will also feature on our website and inspire an interactive installation and photographic exhibition that will tour Scotland in 2026/27.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to this important project. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
