Responsibilities:
  • Work on diverse projects within Risk, Regulatory, and Finance areas in Investment Banking, Asset, and Wealth Management.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Analyse business problems and issues related to the change agenda, working closely with virtual technical delivery teams.
  • Apply Agile methodologies, user stories, and process optimisation to develop and deliver efficient and creative solutions.
  • Coordinate sprints, deployments, and releases, acting as an analytical leader and business expert within change delivery teams.
  • Understand client business challenges, undertake requirements gathering, client interviewing, documentation of processes, and process assessment, effectively communicating these to various audiences.
  • Design and propose potential solutions, identifying pros, cons, and risks.
  • Build and execute project plans, coordinating status, issues, risks, and providing clarity to everyone involved of their responsibilities to effectively deliver successful business outcomes under an Agile framework.
  • Construct and define test scenarios and test data to ensure requirements are completely and accurately implemented.
  • Implement and provide post-go live support to ensure the success of developed solutions.
  • Contribute to internally built offerings, helping to create best-in-class solutions.
  • Participate in the new consulting community, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial sector, ideally in Finance, Risk, or Regulatory reporting areas of an Investment Bank.
  • Experience using Agile, process optimisation, and LEAN methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile teams, defining user stories, and working with Product Owners or as a Product Owner.
  • Ability to influence, debate, interact, and communicate with senior business leaders and technical teams across all mediums.
  • Awareness of data complexities within financial services, proficient in data analysis, and familiar with data ownership and lineage issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate, integrate, and visualise complex data sets to elicit underlying meaning and communicate a message using tooling such as SQL and Python.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment banking products and lifecycle, acquired through previous experience working in Financial Services.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a business analyst role, preferably in Risk, Finance, or Regulatory reporting roles.

Location:

You will be based in our London office, located at 100 Bishopsgate. Travel may be required for client-based projects, and some projects will be located fully at client office locations, usually in the City of London or Canary Wharf.
