Job Title:

Consultant Psychiatrist - Older Adult Psychiatry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Lancaster and Morecambe. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients referred to the Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, Community Mental Health Team, and Memory Assessment Service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, Community Mental Health Team, and Memory Assessment Service.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide emergency cover as required.
Requirements:
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise.
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months.
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months.
  • AC status or within 3 months.
