About the Role

We are seeking an Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our team and provide cover for Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holiday duties. The ideal candidate will have experience of microbiology and/or virology, leadership qualities, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the use of POCT analysers throughout the Trust.
  • Represent Microbiology and Virology at POCT meetings.
  • Participate in the section Quality Assurance programmes and investigate situations.
Requirements
  • BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification.
  • Health & Care Professions Council registration.
  • MSc, FIBMS or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience and knowledge in Microbiology or Virology gained as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Previous practical experience of working in an NHS Clinical Microbiology Laboratory.
