We are seeking an experienced Adult Community Elderly Care Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, management, and support for patients living with communication and swallowing disorders in the Bridgnorth area.

As part of our community team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and advice.

You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, teaching, mentorship, and appraisal skills to your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist assessment and management for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related field.
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Evidence of specialist training and experience in communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
