Fish Quality Assurance Manager:

We are seeking an experienced Fish Quality Assurance Manager to join our Young's Seafood team. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality throughout the entire production process, from intake to dispatch.

You will work closely with the QA Manager and Operations team to guarantee that every product meets precise specifications, achieving the highest quality benchmarks while maintaining food safety and compliance with legal standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure raw materials, processed, and finished products meet specifications.
  • Lead by example, encouraging colleagues to maintain high standards and follow food safety procedures.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on non-conformances and support customer audits and visits.
  • Ensure the company maintains a culture of continuous improvement, promoting a 'right first time' mindset across all teams.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
  • Quality Auditing experience
  • Internal Auditing Qualification
  • Root Causes Analysis
  • Intermediate HACCP
  • Experience of working in Chilled environments
  • Knowledge of fish products
  • Ability to take part in audits
  • A personal commitment to role model behaviours and setting the standard
  • A working understanding of Microsoft Office

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year
