Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Perinatal Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a Perinatal Clinical Psychologist, you will be working with pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing mental health issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions to pregnant women and new mothers with mental health issues.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice in perinatal mental health.
- Provide training and education to healthcare professionals on perinatal mental health.
- Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines on perinatal mental health.
Requirements
- NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent level of experience.
- Literate and numerate.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Experience of working within a care setting.
- Basic IT keyboard skills.
- A level of fitness and ability to participate and complete PMVA, Breakaway training and Manual Handling.
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English.
- Ability to meet contractual requirements and participate in 24 hour care.
