Job Title: SEN Teacher

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team in South East England, Surrey, Croydon.

Job Type:

This is a permanent, full-time position with the option to make it permanent at a later date.

Job Duties:

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies for SEN students. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with students with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEN education.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN. They will also assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their learning goals.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Specialism or additional qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related fieldExperience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies for SEN students

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in SEN or related field

Experience working with students across different age groups

Working Conditions:

Work primarily in a classroom setting

May require occasional participation in meetings outside of regular hours

Collaborate with other professionals in a team-oriented environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
