About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Adult Services Community Older People and Physical Disabilities Team in Preston North and East Area.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with older adults and adults with physical disabilities, undertaking complex assessments, commissioning care, and undertaking duty tasks as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Team Manager with complaint handling, recruitment, supervision, and delivering Best Practice sessions to promote continued development.
  • Undertake statutory interventions, working with older adults and adults with physical disabilities who require support.
  • Deliver high-quality social work services, prioritizing collaboration and co-production with service users and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Post-qualifying experience in adult social care, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
