Chemical Industry Sales Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at SCI in Central London. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and develop strategic partnerships in the scientific community.
About Us:
The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) is an international forum where science meets business. We are a registered charity with members in over 70 countries and have a network of over 900 companies and academic institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a data-driven business development strategy to achieve annual revenue targets across all four areas.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand the needs of potential clients.
- Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and contract finalisation.
- Track and analyse sales data to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development or a related sales role.
- Understanding of the scientific community and its needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
