Master Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics: Employ your expertise to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues, leveraging advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific tools for accuracy.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry advancements through ongoing training and certification programs, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing clear explanations of repair needs and accurate cost estimates. Your exceptional communication skills will contribute to high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Assume a leadership role within the service department, offering guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, setting a positive example and reinforcing our commitment to quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold our reputation for excellence by ensuring all repairs meet or exceed manufacturer standards, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Certification: Hold a valid certification as a Vehicle Master Technician from a recognized industry body or manufacturer.
  2. Experience: Demonstrate extensive experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, showcasing problem-solving abilities.
  3. Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technology, including engine management, hybrid and electric systems, and advanced safety features.
  4. Communication: Exhibit exceptional communication and customer service skills, vital for fostering positive customer relationships.
  5. Leadership: Showcase leadership abilities and willingness to guide and support junior technicians.
  6. Driving License: Hold a valid UK driver's license.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum, plus an uncapped bonus package commensurate with the skills and abilities required for this position. The location provides an excellent standard of living, with easy access to Plymouth city centre and surrounding areas.
