Health Care Support Worker

Job Overview
Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Morriston Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Main Duties
As a Health Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of clinical and care tasks related to direct patient care. This will include following care plans, recording observations and documenting care given in individual patient notes. You will also be responsible for recording vital signs, manual handling, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and hydration and nutrition checks.
Working with Our Team
You will work closely with our registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients. You will be supported and supervised by a registered nurse while carrying out your duties.

Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of QCF Level 2 (formerly NVQ Level 2) in Health or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. You will also need to be willing to undertake further learning specific to the role and demonstrate an understanding of the scope of the role within a team.
